Lumina is built by a dad of 7 who believes AI creators deserve a trustworthy home for their art. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Lumina collects information you provide directly, such as your display name, email address, and any films or content you upload. We also collect usage data — screens visited, films watched, and interactions — to improve the experience.
We use your information to operate and personalize Lumina, process tips and creator payments, send important account notifications, and improve our platform. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Films, Director's Commentary, and profile content you upload are stored securely. You retain ownership of your original creative work. By uploading to Lumina, you grant us a license to display and distribute your content within the platform.
Lumina uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
• Firebase (Google) — authentication, Firestore database, and file storage. Your display name, UID, and sign-in provider are stored in Firebase.
• Stripe — payment processing for tips and creator subscriptions. Lumina never sees or stores your full card details; all payment data is handled directly by Stripe.
• Resend — transactional email delivery (feedback confirmations and notifications). Your email address may be passed to Resend solely to send you messages you've requested.
• Expo / React Native — push notification delivery via Expo's push service. Your device push token is stored server-side only to deliver notifications you've opted into.
We encourage you to review each provider's privacy policy.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from your Profile settings — no need to contact us. Following deletion, data may take up to 30 days to be fully removed from backups.
Lumina is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us immediately.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may also opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, contact us through the Help & Support section.
